Why don't we make your subject line a little more helpful? It doesn't mention anything about Photoshop in it. (Fixed)

Let's see ... Julie Dillon used to have some awesome photoshop tutorials up, but I'll have to hunt around for the link.

http://www.polykarbon.com has some interesting techniques. If you follow them and try to re-create some of the basic ones, then you'll get a first hand view of how photoshop's layers and filters work.

Also, if you have any particular question, just post it here - I'm sure someone will be able to answer it. ^^

Like Whiteblaze said, http://www.good-tutorials.com is a great place. Also, a friend of mine runs HiNu Productions.

Also http://www.tutorialforums.com/ is a good place (sort of hard to find what you need though).

And of course http://www.bluesfear.com/PS_tutorials.php which is a personal favorite of mine.

How do you do the colouring in anime (like Xeno's sig) in Photoshop?
Any specific links would be great!

The image I used was already colored, I just did a few tricks with the image to make it appear the way it did. Though removing the text from her hair was a pain.

Hey Jman,

http://www.bakaneko.com (lit: stupid cat, I think, but that's just trivial knowledge) seems to be reasonably good - if the others don't work out you could give it a try. If you go to http://www.bakaneko.com, then click on drawing tutorials (top right) and scroll down the left menu that appears till you see 'lineart (some random symbol I can't make out) photoshop' that could give you some pointers.

And if you ever need freeware brushes, filters, that sort of thing, there's a lot of them on the internet and the adobe site. (Don't know if you're looking for any, but if you ever need them you should find some there). There's some pretty awesome freeware filters out there.

God bless!
