Great job Gypsy. I'm totally your biggest fan. And I still owe you a letter, so expect some raving fan mail from me soon.

I totally adore Jen. So much so I'm definately going to be making some fanart. Although, is it me or does she sort of resemble Pix from Offsides?

*laughs* Glad you guys like Jen, I was pretty excited about her intro page finally coming up. ^^

Yeah, Ash, I think it's the hair color that makes her look like Pix, but no worries, Jen's hair is much like the horse of a different color in Wizard of Oz - I think there's only one part of the script where it's actually going to be her natural color.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! And I'll hold you to that fan mail, Kevin. ;)

:edit: Oh yeah, I totally forgot why I came to the thread in the first place! I've added all of Ash's wallpaper, plus the fanart from Shadowchild. Thanks so much, both of you!

Countdown until misunderstanding involving Emma, anyone?

Presuming I'm right, well, it was coming. I'm not adverse to that kind of situational comedy. And if I'm wrong that will be interesting.

That little scene in 65 & 66 is why Skipping Tomorrows is PG - I hope it didn't offend anyone. There is a reason why it's there, and it had to do with Jen's past. I figured while I had to go there ... I may as well make a joke out of it and keep it light hearted. Again, I hope it didn't leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth. ^^;

In my case, not at all. To me, it seems tasteful and not at all offensive. It's just predictable.

By the way, does "Waffo!" mean anything?

I agree with UC that is done tastefully. I just feel bad for Jen and Shawn. Emma is a bit too confused right now for me to feel bad for her though. XD

I believe that comes from the anime "A Little Snow Fairy Sugar."

*snerk* Jen's expression is priceless. I agree with the general concensus that the situation was tastefully dealt with. And the blue doom cloud in the last panel... poor Shawn.

Just to let you know, the 'next' link on 64 takes you back to the main page instead of to the next page of the comic.

And yes, "waffo" is a Snow Fairy Sugar thing, just like meboeck said.

Actually, when I was reading through it today, she called to mind pics I've seen of Gypsy.

Yeah, I can say from personal experience that Jen is a lot like Gypsy. It was probably her most fun character to create, in my opinion. I can see her face glow whenever she gets a chance to draw her.

Sorry for the no update on Tuesday - I'm falling behind on Vrin again, so it's cutting into my Skipping Tomorrows time. -_-

Anyway, two new pages are up, and I've added wallpapers from sakura15 and meboeck. Shinja also did a new fanart of Shawn. ^^

stripeman wrote:HI Gyp. Just wondren how many chapters are in your series? Oh and I wonder are you a robotech fan?

Hi. :) There are 11 chapters total - I have yet to draw the line art for chapter 11 - chapter 10 has been drawn and inked for over a year ... ^^; Hopefully the art style difference won't be too drastic. And yes, I am a Robotech fan. There's lots of little cameos thrown in from my favorite shows - some are more subtle than others - maybe eventually I'll make a list with page numbers or something.

Thanks for reading, everyone - the encouragement means a lot!

I like the new update. The guy's a comic genius! I mean, really, all I could do was laugh and laugh until my intestines exploded, and then they laughed, too!

...so I'm a narcissist, what of it? ;p

This comment is pretty late, but I definitely enjoyed the Rumiko Takahashi allusion on the most recent page. Also, I have been meaning to say when I had more of a reason to post that the scene of Shawn's explanation is part of why I continue to read and enjoy this webmanga. It takes advantage of the situation while still being very reasonable, not sacrificing character for "humor."

Rumiko Takahashi allusion?
*goes completely over Kevin's head, though he knows he's heard that name before*

I did enjoy the Star Wars crest on Shawn's shirt. It evoked many good memories of playing Rogue Squadron for N64.

She is the manga-ka of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, among other series. The drawing of Emma on page 69 is in a different style, and I'd say it is definitely Takahashi's (all her female characters tend to look the same).

Hi Gypsy-san.

I was bored and was browsing around CAA, and found this link to your webmanga. I was like "Woah! This is awesome!" then later on I was like "Ohhhh, that's who that Emma person is." XD

Just wanted to let you know I love it so far, and am looking forward to every page you make! ^_^
