I'm going to be taking a break from social media and forums for a bit. Don't worry, I'm okay. I just really need a break. I need to reset and refresh. And also work on some projects. And other stuff. I need to cut out distractions for a while.

I'm not really sure what happened, but I think the last time I posted was in January? This year has thrown a lot of stuff - some good, some bad - at me, so I just kind of left the internet for a while. I attempted to start several series, but school, work, and general stress made me lose interest. *shrug*

Hey everyone. Sorry for such a long leave of absence. Long story short, my great-grandmother wasn't doing well as far as her health goes, as well as getting up there in age (obviously, seeing as this is my great-grandmother and I've been a legal adult for awhile now). So we took time up to go out-of-state to visit her, since the Lord graciously opened up doors there (especially with mom starting a brand new job that'll help her financially and getting a new and better car because of the accident we were in at the beginning of the year - talk about God making good of something rough!). Lots of our family was there as well because they wanted to visit her for the same reason. She was in the hospital the entire time we were there and usually unconscious, but she woke up twice. The first time, she was fully coherent and able to converse with us. The second time, she couldn't talk or move because her muscles wouldn't function, but we could still talk to her and could tell she understood us. We stayed there until she started to fall asleep and I stood by her side as she closed her eyes. Her mouth twitched around while I was there, so we think she was probably trying to smile at me before she closed her eyes. We left when she fell asleep again and were informed that she'd be transferred to the hospital's ICU because of how her condition was moving along. Unfortunately, the day after she was transferred, she passed away. It's been hard for our family. In many ways, she really was the matriarch and heart of our family that's helped us all stay connected. So it's been saddening losing her, but we're pressing through this and doing the best we can to be there for each other. Thankfully she's one of the very few family members I have whose spiritual state wasn't anything to be concerned about, so I'm thankful she's with the Lord. Please pray for our family as we continue to deal with this - as well as pray for the salvation of the rest of them who've yet to receive it (which is, sad to say, the majority of them). Thanks everyone!

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it's really sad there are so few users on here anymore.

In any case, this was my first forum site, and it's near and dear to me. I met a lot of great people on here, and I'm grateful I did. But sticking around here when I noticed how few people were participating upset me, so I decided to leave. Part of me just won't let go of this site, however. So, I won't be here all that often, but I'll post from time to time. It's just too hard for me to move on I guess.
