A game convention in Germany? SNK on X-box Live? Uwe Boll actually going to box critics? A Penny Arcade game? The olds day not like we remembered? Mastersquirrel is back? What you say!? It’s the Gamecast!

Enjoy,

hey hosts, this was the best yet, (was it the presence of yet another witty and insightful host? Mastersquirrel?)
actually, transitions between sections were alot better
the off-topicness was ok in the "the old days" section but it did kind of annoy me about the running off into tv cartoonland, (not that I don't think Masters of the Universe isn't one of the reasons why I think cartoons are higher art form :) )
The added features were nice though I did experience a few bumps everynow and then with the added window player
I think you could use V.O.I.D. a little more
disclaimer: these criticisms both positive/negative are my opinions and are not said to hurt your feelings...much...but thanks for broadcasting, believe it or not, this hasn't just been entertaining, I've actually learned something by listening *gasp*

Nate has encyclopedic knowledge on tap on the "good old days" especially in regard to T.V. and video games. His memory is so complete and immense it can seem like drinking from a fire hydrant to those who unaware of his knowledge. That being said, I think such knowledge helped give examples and analogies on the nostalgia factor in games from the past.

You mean the flash player? It was a plugin we discovered and decided to add on the website. My only advice is to pause the player for a while to let it download the whole show first.

Don't worry, we all got thick skin.

well, I had never heard of that german convention till I heard ya'll talk about it, and I heard about a few games "old school" that I might just test out
I admit that I'm not quite as active in playing games, ya'll make it sound like you've played most everything or given it a try, I just play a few select titles that I think will work for me so game info is cool
the stuff you talk about the industry behind making games is also intersting to me, I mean, I've never taken "video gaming history 101" and so some of the names in the newsbites are lost to me, the ins and outs are all pretty new to me, I'm not one to go hunt out news articles and read them about the gaming industry, so listening to the gamecast is pretty cool as far as "learning" goes

Oh, okay. Well, I am happy to hear that someone who has gaming as a casual hobby finds our presentation on the gaming industry and culture to be interesting.

While I am asking, what did you find entertaining about the Gamecast?

host to host banter can be quite funny
I like the background music, (actually I think I've said that before in another gamecast thread)
I like the humorous outlook on industry analysts and their predictions
V.O.I.D.
the topic of the day: so far they have been pretty interesting and subjects that I can see myself discussing and/or having the same thoughts on for the most part , though perhaps not in such great detail, which as I said in my earlier post gives me info that I wouldn't normally get
