Music of the Spheres: a fantasy webcomic

We haven't officially launched, yet. We want a few more pages up before we do. But I posted this on another message board and figures I'd do so here as well.

http://music-ofthe-spheres.blogspot.com/2008/11/chapter-1-page-1-next-page.html

Music of the Spheres is a brand new fantasy adventure taking place in a world where the earth is the center of the universe and the music of the spheres is about to become silent . . .

Hope you like it.

Art is by my friend, Kneon Transitt.

Trust me . . . my art is not to be loved. :)

Seriously, though, thanks! I'll pass your comment on to Kneon.

Oh.

Well, I'd comment on the story, but I haven't seen much of it, actually, so I can't really honestly comment on it. :)

Heh.

Yeah. We're waiting to "officially" launch when there's more to show. But I just couldn't wait to show it . . .

It looks really good so far! I love the artwork your friend is doing such a cool job with it! ^^ Are you writing it then?

Yeah. I'm writing it. Kneon is doing the artwork and actually his wife is helping with the color work, although I'm not sure how they split those duties.

The color is an experiment on his part . . . and one that I think is working wonderfully.

Looks good. Is it going to be published, or only available online?

For now, only online.

Later, if circumstances allow us, we might put it in print.

as I've often said, Tokyopop does a contest looking for new talent. Look on their website for more info.

Right now, we're doing a couple pages a week to get a good chunk available for people. Then we will be settling back to a page a week.

Thanks for all your comments, guys. I'm very excited about this one.

I have a couple other webcomic projects I will be posting about soon. Those projects will be VERY different (some are "reprints" of existing material, others are . . . just plain different) but THIS project is probably one of the projects I am most excited about.

Just realized . . . I never did this:

Minimum age: 10.

Violence: 5 or 6. There will be some violent scenes coming up.

Language: 1 or 2. Any "cursing" will be in an other-worldly context. I don't swear much myself, and have only rarely used it in my own writing.

Sexual Content: 1. Right now, there's no plans for ANYTHING like this.

Nudity (or skimpy outfits): 3? The artist and I are both somewhat conservative.

Bad Religion: 5. This is a whole-cloth made up world, so there are conflicting religious ideas. Some that are explored are going to be very recognizable as Christian beliefs . . . others will be recognizable as new age ideas.

Another page is up. Don't worry, something will happen soon. It's not ALL kids being disrespectful to their elders . . .

We'll see if you're still intrigued when things really do start happening. ;)

Seriously, I've appreciated your kind words.

I posted on another message board I frequent . . . thought I'd post here as well. We're close to the official launch (I'll let you know when it's official), but for now . . .

A few new pages have been added.

And soon . . . it's all gonna hit the fan . . .

PS -- I don't expect anyone to buy this shirt . . . but the following link IS a hint at some of the things to come. :) (I made the t-shirt design for fun. Silly? Yeah. Money-maker? Nah. But I'm going to get one! Bwah-ha-ha!)

The latest MOTS page went up last night.

Meanwhile, if you'd like to read from the beginning, you can click here.

More MOTS pages have gone up, and in the next few weeks we will be introducing the third major character: The Plague Doctor.

For now . . . something big has fallen into the laps of our character in the midst of their quiet, idyllic life . . .

Something VERY big. :)

If you haven't read any of the pages, you may want to start at the beginning to avoid being spoiled by the latest page . . . click here.

Heh. If you follow Music of the Spheres . . . and you're on Twitter (or even if you're not) you may like this little comic strip I did poking fun at MOTS:

How come the links aren't working? Every one I clicked on this thread says "Blog not found" or something like that.
