the only anime I'm really paying attention to right now is Detective Conan, though the version I'm watching is of course "Case Closed" on CN... That's the only version that exists in the US, I guess... Oh well...

I will be starting Marmelade Boy soon, and rewatching cowboy bebop. I am familiar with Marmelade Boy through the Tokyopop manga... I'm hoping that even if Kodocha is ruined, Marmelade boy will be saved... Maybe...

What do you think of Nadia? I've been interested in that one for a while. . .
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Ha! I'm new! I'm everywhere today!

Ai Yori Aoshi: Enishi, although nothing interesting or ground shaking happens unlike the first series which rocked
Final Fantasy: Unlimited
Tenchi Muyo GXP , so I can see who Tenchi picked (I hope it's Ryoko)
Saikano - watch this now!
Robotech - I'm buying the Robotech: Remastered box sets so right now I'm only just getting into Southern Cross...had to buy the Robotech Legacy box set 3 so I could get Robotech II: the Sentinels. $60 for one movie!
Cardcaptor Sakura - I bought like the entire series and still haven't watched it...d'oh.

:P I'm now watching Rurouni Kenshin along with the other stuff on dvd.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I'm watching Azumanga Daioh, Rurouni Kenshin (season 1), and I'm rewatching Gundam Wing.

Pretty soon, I should be getting the first discs of Gundam Seed and Wild Arms soon, along with volumes 3 and 4 of Aura Battler Dunbine, and the Rurouni Kenshin third season box set.

And I can't wait until the Gundam Zeta box set comes out in November (already preordered that expensive baby)! Anyone else preordering?

I recently saw Jojo's Bizarre Adventure vol 1. It sucked.

Also Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which was pretty cool.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

nope, it was released after I left Japan. (But with any luck the DVD will be released soon, and somebody will fansub that.) If it was out, I would have bugged my host family until they took me to see it. :P

I'm watching:

Samurai 7 ep. 3-5
Melody of Oblivion ep. 2
...and desperately awaiting the next episode of Naruto.
