Testing the Water

Hey! I'm CinniScrib, otherwise known as Cinna and various other aliases unless you know the real me.

I've been scouting this site out for a while and decided I should join. The only other anime forum/watching site I got heavily invested in was animecrazy.net but that was taken down late last year and I've been wandering aimlessly for a while now. I found CAA and thought it'd be a great place to join, especially this is a congregating spot for fellow Christians! It'd be nice to meet some people from AC on here as well, since I miss that community... but what could be better than hanging with my fellow sisters and brothers in Christ?

Also Happy Easter, everyone! :n_n:

Thanks, Drill! I hope so as well!

Oh I have a fair amount of favorites. One that I can watch over and over again is Vision of Escaflowne (anime). But I grew up in the 90's and early 2000's so I got the good years of anime so I'm a nostalgia junkie for those (Pokemon, Digimon, Zoids, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin etc). My current favorite manga is Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice). Most of my favorite animes are adaptions of manga so they go hand in hand, though I love the first four seasons of Digimon (5th was fine). But recently for most beautiful environments and colors, that'd be Suisei No Gargantia/Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet...

... I need a place to list all the animes I've ever watched so I can not be so broad with this answer, haha.

Thank you! Nuthouses are awesome with the nice soft walls and ground! Like a big bouncy house!

One anime I was floored by with the ending that actually got me to tear up was Code Geass. That is to say it wasn't super unique in plot and revolutionary but I enjoyed the show all the same. It had me on an emotional roller coaster with people being manipulated and people dying and then the ending... just the music in that show helped it so much. I still love the score so much! Currently I am enjoying Noragami and Isshuukan Friends while I watch others on and off. Not counting long standing series like Bleach, Naruto and Fairy Tail. There are some series that I can't get enough of while others I just want to know how it ends (Bleach, Naruto, Fairy Tail). I'm a sucker for Koe no Katachi/A Silent Voice though, I really hope it gets an anime one day.

I mainly find myself liking characters, plot or art of an anime but hardly do I have a balance mix of them in one show. I can watch Vision of Escaflowne over and over again. I'm trying to make it a habit to watch it once a year if I can help it. Also I try to watch Digimon the Movie/Children's War Game during the summer for a nostalgia trip.

Konbanwa~ I love pandas! I was actually thinking of using another username of mine from an old anime site when signing up that was CandidPanda. Pandas ROCK.

Oh yes, I can't remember where I picked this icon up at, it's been years but I love it. L's blind love for sweets.

I mainly listen to instrumental or film soundtracks! Most of my music are movie soundtracks, J-Pop, Celtic, Pop and some various others. Most of the songs I like are singles and my full albums are all movie tracks!

hey, welcome aboard! Fair warning - this nuthouse is full of mental hospital escapists, so its not all bluebells and roses. In fact, more often than not, its candy and peanuts, so...watch out for shells.
Hey, have you seen either K or Sword Art Online?

Thank you Wolfsong!

Actually I believe I saw the first two episodes of K when it was just starting but I lost track of it. Same goes for Sword Art Online though I read half of the manga! I need to catch up on that since it really reminded me of the .//hack series

Hiii! Thank you!

Haha, thank you! I found it years ago and it was too good to pass up. When L has dessert, he sees no evil... unless that evil gets between him and his dessert... (then again he just has to look away from the dessert and then he will)

Haha, I've seen just about all the Ghibli movies. I have yet to finish PomPoko, and I haven't seen My Neighbors the Yamadas, Ocean Waves (actually I'm going to watch it right now), The Wind Rises and The Tale of Princess Kaguya yet. My favorite ones have to be Whisper of the Heart (<3), Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Castle in the Sky is great too and Kiki's Delivery Service. Princess Mononoke is bloody but beautiful. Nausiccaa is wonderful as well though it didn't move me the same way the other films did.

Thank you! And same to you! Happy one day anniversary!

I would except I actually have a lot of those! My mom came back from England and bought me a tin of them! They're very disturbing to look at but tasty!
