Does anyone else here watch animation shorts? Pixar does some great (and well known ones) ones but I've also seen some amazing projects out of various animation school programs and technical groups experementing with new technology.

A few I've seen that caught my attention:

Night light is about a minute long, but what it packs into that minute is absolutely beautiful. It's really stunning work and shows that you can tell a great story in a very short time.

Alma. One for halloween... :n_n:

I was also going to recommend the Fantastic Flying books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, but I can't seem to find it where I used to, though I think it's up for sale on the iTunes website now. :/ It won an oscar and it's also quite worth a watch if you get the chance.

Both those shorts were good. I remember seeing the second one a few years ago and it is still scary.

I stumbled upon this short just yesterday. It is really deep and makes you think. Still scary though.

If Looney Tunes counts, I love these. And the classic Disney ones. I've even enjoyed Casper and his pals. Wendy is so cute!

I love all the Pixar/Disney ones, of course - I have special soft spots for Day and Night, Super Rhino, and The Little Match Girl.

As for one that's less well-known, a truly amazing (completely, legally free to download) is Sintel. Such a beautiful story.
