Voice acting for CAATourney2?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 19, 2005 12:44 am
One day, I thought "Wouldn't it be cool if at least one scene in The 2nd Annual CAA Tournament had voices instead of text?" That is more likely a pipe-dream. One idea I had was simply to do a spot as anchor of CASN with a very James Earl Jones-like "THIS IS CASN" announcement against the intro of the song "Lift" by Poets of the fall (awesome Finnish band, btw).
If something like this is to materialize, it would depend on several things:
3. EQUIPMENT! (only microphone is necessary)
4. Coordination. If we can't bring it together, the project can never get off the ground.
I'm not in any proximity to any of the characters besides John Yamamoto. ON top of that, Yamamoto-sensei doesn't even know he's a part of the play, and I'm afraid to find out his reaction to it.
Whaddaya guys think?

Oh, wow, that does sound fun! ^^ It'd be great if everyone can pull it off!

I guess I'm willing, just don't make me say anything stupid!

Sure, I'm up for it! ^_^ A lot of you already know what I sound like when I sing... O_o ...so now you can all hear what I sound like when I talk! O_o;;;
(Just be warned that when I speak I'll be acting in my own character and not your perceived one, though. ^_~ )

what's the tournament for/about.
A competition to see ________?

Wow. . . that would be cool. . .
What parts are there going to be?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 19, 2005 2:23 pm
I'd be willing, but I'm not sure I have the necessary equipment or the know how to get it online if I did.

The parts will be the same as they are in the Tournament thread. I'm thinking if it does happen, it will probably be of a scene that I have already written.

I wasn't in it, but if you want a voice for a red-shirt, I'm your man...uh, boy.

o.o I'm not in it as of yet, but I've got a mic.

Socom Mic? check.
Stupitity? double check.
Willingness to combine those too for no more than props on a website and a few "lolz"?
Triple check baby.

Oh, sounds like lots of FUN!

Is this still an option? I'd be willing to do so.

Oh! Well... uh... I guess it is. I don't really know my work schedule yet.

What is the CAATourney?
A tournement I suppose, but what kind?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 07, 2005 9:56 pm
I have a mic... as pointless as it would be since I'm a photographer of sorts...

But what a voice.
I've got a lousy Palm Pilot mic. I need to get soundproofing up in the closet so I can use that. I do have a proper omni mic but nothing set up to record yet (and the mixer is allocated to the DVD player right now).

I use OpD2d for my recordings.
It can record anything that comes out
of your speakers ( yes even music -_-)

I was hoping (if this is still a viable idea) that each person would do only whatever lines they have for 2/2.5. I'm not sure how that would work. It would have been great during AX if Shoob and I (or even Mechana) could have done a sound bite for CASN which I could have recorded on my big fraggin' digicam.
So Locke, that would meany you would mainly be doing the "Phinal Phantasy" match of 2.5. But if we really are up against the wall as far as voice talent, we can just have multiple casting (but hopefully, we have at least one girl).

I wonder who can do Vicky? XD;;
PostPosted: Sat Jul 09, 2005 4:38 pm
If you want to do Vicky Angel-chan, you can. But you musn't EVER let up the bubbly personality (Vicky's, I mean). Not even when we discover
that she is evil.
o.o Whoa. I don't think I could do it. I just thought it was funny to think about. I could record myself and see how I sound...
