They can't. VIZ is nearly caught up to the Japanese release as it is. It's called pacing yourself.

I am also caught up with FMA --I now have volumes 1-16 (or will, when the volumes I ordered from RightStuf come in). This is the first series I have purchased (the first manga period) and I have not been disappointed!
I also purchased the
The Cat Returns manga --I'm so excited --I bet it's even better than the movie (though Cary Elwes is awesome as Baron). And it has cats!

Hahaha, my collection is most pathetic. I have four Prince of Tennis volumes that I bought for a really cheap price in Asia--the problem is, they're all in Chinese, and since I cannot for my life read Chinese.....
*sigh* I've been writing the translations on post-its and sticking them in the pages... Wow. Pathetic.
I really need some manga in English, huh? .....
