I just read it; it doesn't have anything to do with philosophy. Or Socrates for that matter.

*claps* Yay! Didn't think my request would be fulfilled so quickly^^ Being only a single volume, if the review makes it sound "oooo" then I'm pickign it up the next chance.... when I have money v_v (Ran out on my last "anime/manga run" :/)

Having read this one, I think the title comes from the question of the immortality of the soul. The differing answers to this question are central to the motivations of the major characters. I'd be reluctant to call this a "philosophical" manga however as it is romance first and foremost. It's also interesting to note that the original title, Sekai no Chushin de Ai wo Sakebu, does not include the name "Socrates" in any form.

I am willing to do a review on "Astro Boy." Even though I have 18 of the 22 volumes (the bookstore pulled the series from the shelves), from what I have (and know) I know what content are in the books.

I would also like to make a request for a review on "Twin Signal" (the manga version, of course). Thank you~

Given those circumstances, I'd be willing to accept an Astro Boy review. I'll put down Twin Signal.

I'm not sure if you'd want this, given the very high graphic content level, but I'd do a Berserk review.

Though it's a lot worse than the anime, so maybe not a good idea. Just saying I'd be willing to do one if that's something you're interested in.

Otherwise, I can do FLCL if you'd like.

Actually yes, we WOULD want a Beserk review because we want to have as complete a database as possible. Is it finished running yet or is it still unlicensed? If yes to either one, then you're good to go.

As for FLCL, I *think* Hitokiri was going to, but I could be way off. You can go ahead and submit one, though, and if no one else has it I'll put it up. :thumb:

Well, apparently it's still running in Japan. Looks like it might be one of those never-ending ones. @_@

I believe they've gotten up to 28 volumes, as of now I've gotten through 17 volumes. I doubt things are all of the sudden going to turn into happy/light/teen-friendly material ever, seeing as how graphic it's been thus far.

Though it's going to be really hard to review. The plot itself is absolutely incredible, but the high-level of graphic content should deter anyone under 18.

Best to just wait then....and here's why. Even super popular series like Fruits Basket we'd rather wait til they are completely finished running so that we will have a very complete, thorough database in the long run, rather than one that's constantly outdated and needs to be updated as series progress. So no offense. ^^;;

None at all taken, believe me.

The only thing I should add...
I don't really think there'd be anything needed to update with Berserk. Everything, content-wise, can really be covered in the first few volumes.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is that from those first few, we already know that Berserk is graphic in really every area, but since the plot is not finished yet, I understand the point of not doing a review right now. I can tell you that everything for the content sections can be filled out just from those first few volumes, and through the 18 volumes I've completed, the plot has been consistently spectacular thus far (IMO). Though it's of course very possible that the series could take a nose-dive and turn into pure garbage.

Sorry for being so long-winded, but I think you're right on holding off for now. Anyway, thus far I can say that I'd give it a high-rating on the plot and such, and definitely mostly maximum on the content. So PM/IM me if you'd like a mini-review.

You know I'd ask, but...

It may indeed be a long, LONG time before One Piece is anywhere near finished, but I'm willing that long to wait if I can write the review for it. It was mentioned before, but I don't think anyone's claimed it yet, so I just wanted to go ahead and ask.

Anyone claim "High School Girls" yet? I think it has one volume left and probably could use a review to warn people. I can do it if nobody has called it yet

Lol, sorry, that was a "no, no one's taken it so you may"

Ever seen the movie Clue? That's what that reminded me of. XD
