So this year was a bit of a disappointment for me music wise. Especially in comparison to last year. However, there were a few good albums this year. my top 5 are:
5: WALK THE MOON - Self Titled
4: Eskimo Callboy - Bury Me in Vegas
3: Everyone Dies in Utah - Polaris
2: Deadmau5 - >Album Title Goes Here<
1: In Fear & Faith - Self Titled

As you can tell it was mostly post-hardcore that i liked this year. That was pretty much the only genre that released music i really like this year. So what albums have you guys enjoyed this year?

At least you both have a preference to a music genre or genres. I almost literally have no taste in music. I just enjoy few songs from different genres, but I don't follow any genres or bands. I just enjoy those songs.

I'm interested to see what gets posted on here though. :) Maybe I can find something I like.

Shallow Bed by Dry the River is amazing. So is Glen Hansard's Rhythm and Repose. Other than that, I got nothin' when it comes to the music the kids be listenin' to these days.

Do these albums have to have been released in 2012, or just ones you've obtained in 2012? Anyway, I'll go by the latter definition:

1. Eternal: The Best of Libera
2. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (movie) Soundtrack
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 Soundtrack
4. Thousand Foot Krutch - The End Is Where We Begin
5. Poets of the Fall - Twilight Theater

Edit:

1) Same old brand new you, by A1, remix
2) What makes you beautiful, by One Direction
3) A Billion Hits, Austin & Ally,
4) Shot through the heart, by Bon Jovi

I've still got a major top 2, but I wanted to mention the others. And Bon Jovi's song is a bit mushy, but it sounds good.
It takes a lot to get onto my "top list". That's a major honor for One Direction.

I think Digital Renegade by I See Stars and Macadelic by Mac Miller were the best albums by far haha

I just liked the blend between the hardcore and electronica. I just think it flowed a whole lot better than other bands who try the same thing
