My top five would have to be:

Blind Guardian
Kamelot
Helloween
Nightwish (w/ old singer only)
Van Canto (yes, they are an acappella so everything aside from the drums are their voices and voice distorters)

And my flavor of the month right now is Keldian. I just found out about these guys and they're pretty awesome.

Other favorites include Freedom Call, Iron Maiden, Human Fortress, Symphony X, Theocracy, Black Majesty, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Eluveitie, Stratovarious, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Avantasia, Apocalyptica, AleStorm, Lost Horizon blah blah blah etc etc etc.

I have many, many favorites that span over almost every genre.

I will list just a few.

Queen, U2, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Creed, Red, Seventh Day Slumber, Sanctus Real, Mary Mary, Red, etc.

I also like 80's music, classic rock (60's-70's), and some older country music (from Garth Brooks back to Hank Williams, Sr.)

:jump: Yeah, "When Your Heart Stops Beating" is a good one! I kind of just listen to that album as a whole, really, but I think I like "Lycanthrope" and "Chapter 13" especially. I don't listen to it enough to know it very well DX But I always liked that singer guy best when they were still Blink 182. I used to love "Story of a Lonely Guy".

i normally listen to it as an album as well. story of a lonely guy is a very good one i love the synthesizer , i think the best song that mark hopus (i think that's how you spell his last name) sang was adam's song. i LOVE that song. now i'm assuming you know blink 182 got back together. i can't wait for the new album to come out! XD

I don't listen to them, but I have heard of both of them, so don't feel bd that no one has heard of them.

For my own favorites:
Flyleaf (The music's amazing, and the lyrics are well-written, challenging, and often make me have deep thoughts.)
Relient K (I prefer their older stuff, but their new stuff's good in a different kind of way.)
Switchfoot
and for a new favorite, Lights. She's amazing! Unfortunately, her clothing choices aren't always the greatest.
and a bunch others I adore......

XD I used that exact answer a long time ago... for a similar question... some kind of quiz I think it was.

I have some serious answers though:
As far as favorites go, and not just bands that I occaisionally listen to but don't really know much about...

Kids in the Way
Dead Poetic
The Devil Wears Prada
Nightwish
Virgin Black
Grave Robber
Demon Hunter
RED
Project 86

(There is no order here...)
