And since we're on the topic of Disney, I have to mention the most tear-jerking Disney song I've ever heard. (Well, Disney and Pixar.) I cry nearly every time. (Again, spoilers obviously.)

But have you seen it with the music video? Now THAT is amazing...

Vienna Teng's "Lullabye for a Stormy Night"
Barlow Girl's "Never Alone" and "Mirror"
Third Day's "Cry Out to Jesus" (as sung by my show choir)
Mark Schultz's "Letters from War"
hitomi's "If I were a Bird" from Code Geass R2
AZU's "For You" and Kishidan's "Omae Dattanda" as Naruto Shippuden Ending- cried 1st time I watched those...

yeah lots of songs make me cry....

"Because of You" --Kelly Clarkson

"Open Wounds" --Skillet

"Amazing Grace" --Todd Agnew

"Refine Me" --Jennifer Knapp

"Worlds Apart" --Jars of Clay

And I'm sure there are several others.

And there are a lot of country songs that make me cry --because a lot of it is depressing, to be frank. (But there are a lot of happier country songs, just a lot of sad ones, too.)

I'd like to post a few:
http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/102/bvZ07I4j3Gc
http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/197/nlESDaCT50c (sound quality is not as good in this one. I'll post a better one later)
http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/224/uDBncd9kbsI

I'm a bit hesitant to post these two cause they're a bit sad-depressing, so watch at your own risk. >_<; (note: They are both the same song)
http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/59/dRQCwDMR4XQ
(hmm...does that voice sound familiar to you?)

WARNING! MAJOR SPOILER DEATH ALERT FOR DEATH NOTE:
http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/62/c1RimIpRNuU
Yes, that is the english VA for L singing the song. Kinda suiting huh? I've not seen Death Note, but I know enough about L to tear up a bit watching this AMV. :( Poor L. The song for some reason makes me think of a man who lost his lover or something like that. It's so sad...but it's so...idk how to describe it.
[END SAD-DEPRESSING VIDEOS]

Okay, I have to post more of a happy/bittersweet song to counteract the depressing one:

http://www.youtube.com/user/SteenatheCatrobat#p/f/146/0d2f1qYOVlE

I'll post more later! XD!

absolutely- as i said before, my show choir did it as our ballad piece... at many of our competitions much of the audience was crying. I was subbed out for that song, but almost everytime as I hid under the risers I would cry... especially when it goes "to everyone cant break the addictions and chains, keeping them back from their lives..." (I'd link it if I could)

OMG, okay, after listening to Theocracy's amazing album Mirror of Souls, I've found a new tear-jerker, the track by the same name. Seriously, if you have twenty minutes to spare (yes, twenty minutes), you should really listen to this song. It's put up in three parts, and the lyrics (which are essential!) are in the comment. It tells a story, and...I totally bawled the first time I heard it.

Part 1: The Hall of Mirrors

Part 2: The Stranger in the Storm

Part 3: The Truth Revealed

As a fan of anime soundtracks (and soundtracks in general), and as a fan of the FMA franchise, the latest tearjerker, hands down, was "Trisha's Lullaby".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2kwie-gs2o
They used it in the last episode of FMA Brotherhood, in a very touching moment of reunion between Ed, Al, and Winry. After watching the entire 1st Series, the *ahem*movie*ahem, and the entire 2nd Series on Funimation on Thursday every week; AND after finding out that morning that I had just been rejected following a job interview... I saw the moment coming a mile away in that episode, but when THAT music started playing... I just couldn't hold back the tears. It was bittersweet, joyful, sad... all at the same time.
Still, I love that song.

 Really? Why, may I ask?

"Sometimes He Lets It Rain" by Kathryn Nelson has recently brought me to tears. You can imagine why; it's about how God lets bad things happen sometimes, but that doesn't mean he's lost control of things. I needed this for the past couple of weeks.

Here's something for you all to hear:

Adagio in D Minor

Anyone recognize this piece? I do. ;)

This song brought me to tears. Please tell me what comes to your mind when you listen to this. To me...it's either the Lord about to die on the cross, and the Lord coming again.

Ah, so it was like "That sounds so cool! ;_;" I do that all the time, lol XD The first time I heard Vivaldi's Concerto in A for Violin, I was a big sopping mess - though that might partly have been because my friend was doing the solo :hits_self

And Cephas, I understand exactly what you mean about that piece! Because of what you said, I couldn't stop thinking about Jesus dying for our sins while I listened to it. It's got that soul-wrenching grief, that steadfast resignation, that takes your breath away whenever you really think about what our Savior has done for us. It also made me think of other, lesser acts of heroism from stories - because my definition of a hero is someone who gives up something for others. A very inspiring song indeed.

not exactly a "that sounds cool" it was the amount of passion i felt in the song
