"No Way Out" by Bullet for my Valentine. I'm really excite about their new album. It definitely seems like a huge improvement over Temper Temper, which was pretty unremarkable.

Kraftwerk's Autobahn album. It's part of my project I started when I received the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die book. I'm trying to listen to as many of them as I can to see if they live up to the hype.

"Come On Up To the House" -Tom Waits
Still as powerful as the first time I heard it, maybe more so. Waits' growl is simultaneously subterranean and rapturous as he calls us to the titular house, out of self-pity and the roiling sea of life in simple, beautiful words.

I listened to Bullet for My Valentine's latest album, Venom about a week ago. It was certainly better than Temper Temper, and I really have no complaints about it musically; however, I feel like the lyrics on this one are still below par for them, and felt way too simplistic. I can give bands like A Day to Remember a pass for generic lyrics, cause they've never been anything impressive lyrically, but I expect a little more from Bullet. Best songs were "No Way Out" and "Venom".
