GeneD's Review Violence / Gore: The first episode should give you a good idea of the violence content as it has a mutant unicorn exploding into blood and guts everywhere. The more bloody fights usually involve monsters/beasts rather than people though. There are battles with swords, magical guns and other weapons. A girl gets stabbed in the head and is later seen lying in a pool of blood. A murdered tortures people to death, but only the aftermath is seen, not the act itself. Nudity / Sexual Content: One of Gillette's team members wears really short pants that are closer to being just underwear and there are a few other characters with skimpy clothing. Akari makes jokes about Toru being perverted or about them being in an "incestuous" relationship. They are not blood relatives at all though. Theological Themes: The evil emperor defeated before the start of the show was said to be immortal. There is magic used which manifests as a blue patterned circle in the air. The magic is worked using incantations and magical fuel, which can be a number of things, and is used to power magical weapons or vehicles. Negative Themes: Minor swearing. |
